Concrete is one of the most durable materials used in homes, though its lifespan is finite.

There are several factors that can affect the durability of concrete, especially the environment. Concrete needs to be in good condition to resist damage and cracks, but once these are present, it continuously gets much weaker.

Even a tiny crack may seem harmless, but it already makes way for water to get into concrete. Once water does, concrete will degrade and the crack can get even bigger. During cold weather, frozen water will cause the concrete cracks to expand and suffer from even more damage.

This is why sealing concrete cracks as early as you can is necessary.

Nip it in the bud by fixing small cracks early on to prevent bigger problems down the road. Using a concrete filler is a simple way to ensure your concrete is in good condition while reducing the need for expensive maintenance work later on.

For your concrete cracks, use Sakrete Concrete Crack Filler. This ready to use filler does a terrific job at filling cracks in concrete that are up to 1/4” deep, and 1/2” wide. Feel free to use it on the concrete found both inside and outside your home – you can’t go wrong with this filler.

Sakrete's Concrete Filler does a job much more important than just filling concrete for aesthetic purposes; it also strengthens and increases its lifespan. By protecting from water penetration, you can have peace of mind knowing that your concrete will certainly not weaken over time.

It’s also good to know that this filler can be painted on without the need for latex-based paint.

Sakrete Concrete Crack Filler is made for interior and outdoor use.

It does a great job at filling cracks found in your walkway, driveway, slabs, and patios. Since this filler cures to both the color and texture of your concrete, there is no need to worry that it will affect the end product unlike with other similar products in the market.

After all, this is a Sakrete product: Sakrete is a brand trusted by the professionals for products that specialize in concrete as well as mortar, stucco, and more. If we were to choose just one brand that you can rely on for concrete protection and maintenance, you can bet that it’s Sakrete.

As a world leader in the concrete industry, few companies know concrete as well as they do.

Sakrete crack filler is no different. They know how important it is to use a high-quality product so that you don’t ever have to deal with costly repairs that will also cause you headaches down the line.

This product is so easy to use, too: it’s ready to use, and it will completely cure in just 12 to 24 hours as long as it’s exposed to normal humidity and temperature.

How Much Concrete It Can Fill

Just a 1-quart container is all you need to seal as much as 35 feet of a crack ¼” deep and ½” wide.

However, when computing for yield, be sure to take into consideration waste and spillage.

How To Use

Sakrete Concrete Crack Filler should be stored in temperatures between 40F and 80F 24 hours before you use it. Don’t apply this filler if you are expecting temperatures to drop below 50F.

Before application, clean the entire surface area thoroughly to get rid of loose concrete, dirt, paint, grease, or other foreign materials that can affect the overall performance of this filler. Shake the can well before you use, then cut the applicator tip to the right size needed to fill in the cracks.

Gently squeeze the product into the cracks. You can also add sand into the crack up to ¼” below the surface prior to applying Sakrete's crack filler.

If you are working on deep cracks, this may need more than 1 application because of shrinkage which tends to occur during curing. If you will apply more than once, wait 24 hours so that the filler can dry completely.

While the crack filler cures, it’s best that you ensure rain and water do not get into the product for at least 24 hours. If you are applying it more than once, it may require a little more time to cure.

Last but not least, don’t apply Portland-cement based products on top of Sakrete Concrete Crack Filler.

What People Are Saying

To find out why Sakrete Concrete Crack Filler is used by so many professionals and homeowners, we checked out reviews online to see what they had to say about it.

Homeowners have written that they were nothing short of impressed with how well this filler worked. It did exactly as promised, and many have even said that they will never use any other filler again.

However, there were some customers who found that Sakrete's crack repairer dried too hard which made it inflexible and prone to cracks later on. There were also a few customers who noticed that when the filler dried up, it ended up looking like string or rope on top of the cement.

Keeping that in mind, it may be good for you to think carefully about what area you’ll be applying your Sakrete to. Other than that, it still seems to be the filler of choice for many worldwide.
